Accubow Archery Training Tool Review

The Accubow is a training tool to increase your efficiency, strength, stamina and consistency in archery. The Accubow provides resistance training from 10 to 70lbs and it augments your training so you are more effective in your archery shooting when you hit the range.

I have been shooting a bow for just over 37 years now. I got my first bow at the age of nine. It was a red Bear recurve. My parents probably spent more money in lost arrows than they did on the bow. Two years later, I got my first compound bow, a Browning youth bow. I went through the process of slowly cranking the poundage up from 25 lbs. all the way to 45 lbs. so that I could begin hunting. The process took a while and I became a pretty darn good shot. It took me a few years, but I eventually took a doe with that bow and became hooked on archery hunting.

Over the years, I have worked with several kids and as well as my wife, Marjorie, on improving strength while shooting. Starting out with the Bow Trainer, we built strength and increased the stamina to the point that each person could shoot effectively over 50 lbs. The Bowtrainer is an effective tool for increasing strength and stamina. For my draw length, it allows a resistance range from 20 to 120 lbs. The Bow Trainer is a great tool, but it’s not overly fun to use and it is a lot like exercise. While it only works on strength and stamina, it does have a large range of weights to increase your strength.

The Accubow is relatively new to the market. It provides resistance from 10 to 70 lbs. It works for ages 5 to 105 and beginners to experts. With the single resistance band, as well as the addition of a D loop for use with a release you can pull this tool with your fingers or your release and actually release the band. The resistance band can be adjusted. The addition of a laser on the Accubow allows you to pull the bow back, sight the bow on a point and hold it for stamina as well as proper mechanics and a smooth release. The unit also has a level to check for vertical alignment and a vibration dampening system for dry-firing. The Accubow feels like a bow in your hands. You can use your own stabilizer to add weight to the front just like your regular bow.

The Accubow is easy and fun to use and provides you with a variety of unique exercises to practice so that your range time is more effective. Strength, stamina, stability, accuracy, consistency and proper form and mechanics are all factors you can work on while practicing with the Accubow.   You can dry-fire this bow for years no matter where you are. I was on the phone today with a client and during the conversation, I was pulling the Accubow back and holding the laser very still on a point across the room. All of the practice with this unit will make my range time that much more effective. The stronger your muscles, the more stamina you have the more arrows you can punch down range effectively and accurately.

I know plenty of archers who head to the range and practice with six arrows. After about 5-8 rounds they are tired. They slow down and become less accurate. Supplemental training with a tool like the Accubow can make their range time much more effective. The Accubow is also a fantastic tool to introduce kids and others into archery shooting. With the carbon fiber frame, the big band, and the cool laser, everyone sees this sitting on my desk, immediately grabs it and wants to try it out. Get yours from Accubow.com and seriously consider ordering the Rick Carone Signature Series in their effort to help fight cancer.
