Adventure Pants by Prois

Let’s face it: looking good and feeling comfortable are important. That’s why I am so excited to wear the Adventure Pants by Prois. Prois calls them happy pants and I could not agree more. Though they are designed for your African safari and your high alpine mountain goat hunt, they are just as suited for more down to earth tasks such as sitting in on a casual staff meeting or walking through a local park.

The Adventure Pants are, of course, cut for a woman’s body. The waistline rests at the natural waist and there is plenty of room through the rear, hips, and thighs. I love the inner waistband – it is soft and so comfortable and roomy enough that I don’t feel self-conscious about the little extra that scrunches up at my waist when I sit down. I can’t begin to tell you how often I have complained about wearing jeans. The waists just don’t give. They are either too tight all around (cupcake, anyone?) or too gappy in the back so that when you sit down everyone can see what color panties you are wearing.

KCP_2350 So comfort is not a question with the Adventure Pants. Of course, sweatpants are comfortable, too, but I’m more of a sweats-stay-inside-the-home type of woman. And that’s why Prois designed these pants to look just as good as they feel. They are cut in a way that flatters our bodies, the inseam is long enough so we don’t feel we are wearing floods, and the flat front gives a clean look that allows you to look good in the field, in the office and everywhere in between.

Because the majority of my life takes place in town, my Adventure Pants will more often see the inside of a coffee shop or a grocery store than the wide open grasslands of Africa. But the outdoors is really where these pants shine. They are lightweight, stretchy, and roomy in the right places. Ample pockets of various sizes adorn the Adventure Pants. I love the deep right front pocket. Elastic drawstring cuffs keep the pants tight around your ankles, that is great for tucking into boots and keeping little burrs and critters out.

Prois offers the Adventure Pants in a range of sizes from XS to XL. I was a little hesitant to order a small because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t compromising comfort for vanity. I am happy to say that the size was true; it fit perfectly.

Shipping was amazingly quick. I ordered online and received the pants two days later. Granted, Nebraska is next door to Colorado, but still I was glad to know the ladies at Prois got right on the order and shipped it out the day I placed my order.

Prois clothing is not cheap – the Adventure Pants cost $129.99 – but there are things to scrimp on and things to splurge on. These are ones I am willing to splurge on. In fact, other than the two colors they currently offer (Olive and Stone), I would love to see a black and a tan.

What more can be said? They are the quintessential happy pants. Check out the Adventure Pants and all sorts of awesome gear for women at http://www.proishunting.com.
