Hunting for a Championship HuntingLife Follows the NASCAR Race for the Chase

NASCAR Race for the ChaseI am going to be pretty honest with you, being an outdoor writer and an influential blogger has perks.  We get to play with some amazing gear, I get to take some pretty cool people out in the field and I get opportunities to meet some amazing people.  On occasion, I get the chance to do something I have always wanted to do and this year is No Exception.  It’s no shock to those of you who follow me on Twitter at www.twitter.com/HuntingLife or those of you who follow me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HuntingLife that I am a huge fan of NASCAR.

I have been watching NASCAR on and off for most of my life.  About 7 years ago my interest got renewed through the NASCAR Imax movie and a playstation game where I got to spend hours in front of the TV pretending I was driving. I began to understand a fraction of what it takes to drive a car, drafting and car management and  I began to watch more and more races.  This year, I have only missed one race in my committed quest to follow a couple of drivers through the entire season.  I have always wanted to attend a race and when I was living in Virginia, I never made it to Richmond, something always came up with my busy hunting schedule and this year I am finally going to race.

I am trading some articles, tweets and facebook posts for a sponsored opportunity to go to a race, with Pit Passes, a tour of the track and tickets to the race as well as the chance to interview a driver here for HuntingLife.com.  We will ask them all about racing and talk a little hunting and outdoors too!!!  We don’t yet know who we are going to get to interview yet but needless to say it’s going to be one of the drivers in the Race for the Chase.

Here is a little information about each of the drivers and you can bet your bottom dollar we will be tuned into ESPN today at 1pm today watching the race at Chicagoland Speedway.  This mile and a half track is always exciting to watch and 4 of the drivers Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Jeff Gordon have had wins at this track with Tony Stewart having won here 3 total and won last year.  We hope you will follow along on our adventure while these drivers pursue their own hunt for a championship and don’t worry we will not stop our great articles on hunting and adventures into the great outdoors.
