Come join Horns Whitetail Adventures for an experience of a lifetime. Be it spring bear, fishing or our trophy whitetail hunts. We host some of the best hunting Saskatchewan has to offer with approx. 280 square miles of provincial forest with almost non-existent hunting pressure.
Our 5-star lodge in beautiful and pristine Sled Lake offers the kind of hunting and fishing adventure that you have only dreamed about. We have comfortable beds and hot showers. You can enjoy your evening filled with the camaraderie of a hunting camp and share stories of past and present. Our Lodge chef knows that home cooked meals are what you want and she goes out of her way to make sure you are well fed. The day starts with big breakfasts, like Canadian bacon, eggs, biscuits and pancakes. Dinners are equally delicious with such things as roast beef, ham or turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, salad, fresh bread or rolls and always dessert. Our lunches are sandwiches made to order, home made cookies and other snacks, along with your choice of coffee, tea, hot chocolate or soup. You are definitely not going to go hungry!
Our experienced and dedicated guides spend time in the field scouting for the perfect stand site. During the hunt they take you to and from the stand each day. You will be given a 2-way radio for your safety so you and your guide can communicate. Our modern enclosure stands (the majority of which are brand new) are roomy and you have the option of taking a heater if the weather is severe. Most of our rifle stands are set up for shots from 50 to 125 yards. Our mature Saskatchewan bucks are huge bodied, weighing upwards to 300+ pounds, so we suggest rifles of .270 caliber and up.
Our fall trophy Whitetail season provides you with a good opportunity for a very large buck. You should consistently see bucks from the 130 to 150 class with an excellent chance to see bucks from the 150 to 170 class. We usually harvest a few bucks each year from 170 and up.
Very few places in the world have a healthier population of black bear than Saskatchewan, Canada. The spring hunt is recommended because the condition of the fur is usually much better. The average hunter will see multiple bears each day. We can accommodate archery and muzzle loader hunters as well as rifle. Each year we harvest a few color phase bears. During fishing season you will get to fish for our famous Canadian Northern Pike and we provide all the gear.
Our accommodations, equipment, stands, ATV’s, trucks, etc., are all well maintained. We have several Yamaha Rhino ATV’s which can be used to assist anyone elderly or physically challenged.
We are one of only a hand full of hunting camps with a full time Camp Manager. Johnny has years of experience and his dedication is next to none. Our goal is to make your entire hunting experience so memorable that you insist on returning year after year.
