Years ago (okay, decades ago) I owned a Swiss Army multi-tool. It was probably my first pocketknife. I think I bought it at Brookstones at the shopping mall. I was a teen and it was cool to have gadgets like that.
Years later, I felt like I graduated to the next level when I bought a Leatherman. It came with more bells and whistles. It was bigger and heftier. I was in my twenties and it was handy to have gadgets like that.
Fast-forward a couple of decades. I now use the Switchplier 2.0 by SOG Knives. It’s not bigger or heftier and it doesn’t have every single tool imaginable.
