We are starting a new program at HuntingLife effective immediately and I am super excited to announce ths new program.  Each and every month we are going to highlight one individual who is out there making a difference in our world of conservation.  This month it is our pleasure to announce our first Conservation Hero of the Month award goes to David Allen, President and CEO of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.  David has long had a passion for elk country and since joining the RMEF as President he has been willing to stand up and make a difference each and every day.  I applaud his no nonsense approach to leadership and his unwillingness to back down from anyone to further the cause of sound scientific management and the mission of the RMEF.

As many of you know the West and our country is in ridiculous situation in regards to wolf management in our states.  The Feds and the environmental elite are preventing the states from doing what they deem is best for the management of our wildlife in regards to predator management and people are taking sides as the battle progresses.  This battle is not going to go away.   We at HuntingLife.com have always aligned ourselves along the lines of the North American Conservation Model and we advocate sound scientific management for the wolf situation and the feeling that the states have the right and should have the ability to properly manage all of thier wildlife as they see fit.

David Allen has stepped up to the plate from day one as President of the RMEF and represented the mission and the mindset that is making a difference.
