GoSun Launches Most Needed Solar Product Ever: ‘GoSun Brew’with 266WH Powerbank, Built-In French Press for Coffee and Carrying Case

Travel coffee and portable power combine to make GoSun’s latest solar innovation an off-grid must-have for outdoor enthusiasts

Cincinnati, OH [October 14, 2020]– GoSun, a leader in essential solar-powered outdoor gear, is releasing its ninth crowdfunded solar innovation: GoSun Brew. The launch of the GoSun Brew makes it possible for people to conveniently brew fresh coffee or tea anywhere off-grid while also having plenty of power to charge electronics.

With the best power to weight ratio of any energy device available on the market today, the GoSun Power 266 is versatile, portable and weighs only three pounds. Aptly named for its 266-watt hours of capacity, the GoSun Power 266 is twice as powerful as its predecessor and packs enough solar power to charge a laptop five times, a smartphone 22 times, or brew eight cups of coffee.

The GoSun Brew is an insulated travel mug that integrates a 12-volt heater and a French press.  The smart electronics help to brew an incredible cup of coffee or tea, from start to finish, all in one portable cup that can be taken anywhere.

“Most people don’t realize how hard it is to make coffee without fire while camping. Now not only can you power your laptop and power your devices, but you can also power yourself with coffee at the same time,” says Patrick Sherwin, Founder and CEO of GoSun.

The GoSun Brew’s unrivaled combination will serve as the new central hub of GoSun’s Solar Kitchen where its innovative products cook, cool, charge, clean, light, and purify using nothing but the sun’s energy.

“Here at GoSun, we are dedicated to building portable power for the people. We design for maximum efficiency and lifespan, which means more to fuel your adventure, more charge for your laptop or camera gear, more power to prepare food or drinks, and more security to get through unexpected challenges,” says Sherwin.

An adjustable DC outlet ranges from 12 to 24 volts to match any device’s needs with up to 15 amps of current. The 266WH lithium-ion battery can be quickly charged with GoSun’s Solar Table, or one or two folding solar panels that conveniently fit in the GoSun Brew and Power carrying case, which comes standard included.

The GoSun Brew is protected and transported in the EVA carrying case that also houses all cables and accessories. The powerbank gives users the ability to charge wirelessly, or with USB-C PD, adjustable DC port from 12-24V, and a 15A carport.

“We are big coffee lovers here at GoSun. Before this invention, brewing that precious cup of morning coffee was impossible without gas or fire. Unfortunately, fires are dangerous and can be highly destructive as we’ve seen so much this year. Now, thanks to the launch of the GoSun Brew, you can make your morning cup of joe and charge your devices with clean, powerful, free energy from the Sun. It’s time to stop the burn, and now is the time to go solar,” says Sherwin.

“For many, coffee is life, and these days, power outages are becoming more and more common. With the GoSun Brew, you can get your body and your electronics the power they need whenever and wherever you are.”

GoSun has successfully crowdfunded eight ground-breaking products under Sherwin’s leadership, and this newest launch will be the solar startup’s ninth crowdfunded product. To date, GoSun has moved over 100,000 units to over 70 countries worldwide.

Launched on October 14th, the GoSun Brew and Power is available for only $299. The MSRP is $499, which means those who purchase the product on Kickstarter early will save $200.
