In My Blood, A Hunting Poem by Arielle McCleary
Mossy Oak camo pants
Primos buck call
Scent Shield on my back
Deer heads on the wall
Hoyt calling out my name
TruGlo on the arrow
Range finding trophy game
Rage on the bow
Cabela’s ringing in my ear
Army paint on my face
Beretta gun inflicts fear
Disappear without a trace
Blending in with surrounding trees
Motionless in the stand
Powder blowing in the breeze
Binoculars graze the land
Antlers on the rear view
Truck tires caked with mud
The sky is the perfect shade of blue
Hunting’s in my blood
