Lowa Falco Lace Review
Lowa Falco Lace

The LOWA Falco Lace is a comfortable shoe for climbing at the rock gym, on boulders and even in traditional routes.  We picked up the LOWA Falcos for a class in the rock gym.  For the climbing we were doing, these shoes really shined.  They have solid edging and are really a comfortable climbing shoe.

I have not seriously done any rock climbing in over 30 years when my roommate and I chased routes all over the Wasatch Range in Utah.  This summer, I took a quick rock gym class.  I dug a chalk bag out of an old chest and I needed some shoes.  The old shoes I had just did not fit, so it was time to look at a new shoe for climbing.  It’s no question we are big fans of Lowa, having used them for hunting for quite a few years.

We found the Falco Lace shoes to be super on the edging, sticky enough for the gym and comfortable enough to wear for a couple of hours of climbing.  These shoes truly feel like an extension of your feet.  I found the shoes to be comfortable in hot temperatures and more than airy.  Additionally, the anti-microbial lining helps keep these shoes from the inevitable stink.

The LOWA LC-SuperGrip rubber compound is quite sticky.  If you are looking for an all-around climbing shoe, the LOWA Falco Lace climbing shoes are worth taking a serious look. These are not hunting boots, but if you want to get into shape for hunting season, check out your local rock gym, pick up a pair of these shoes and spend some time on the climbing wall.
