On Monday, I got a envelope in the mail from Sentry Solutions containing a brochure and a Tuf Cloth. I had never even heard of this company before to be honest, so I opened the envelope looked over the brochure and threw the entire package off to the side of my desk for another day.
This morning while editing some video online, I needed an hour to walk away from the computer so I picked up the tough cloth took a walk, opened up the safe, grabbed a shotgun and the rifle and opened up the Tuf Cloth. The feel of the tuf cloth is almost rubbery and the cloth itself is very thin but the shine it left on both the shotgun and the rifle was amazing. The weather was nice and the pollen count is exceptional today. Oil Attracts Dirt and dust, Oil Free means that my guns will not attract dirt. Interesting…My turck had a thin coat of pollen on it as did the table on the deck. I grabbed the shotgun and laid it on the table after wiping the table down, laid the shotgun on the table a came back 4 hours later to see everything covered in another coat of yellow, including the shotgun. The amazing part was picking up the shotgun and blowing on it and seeing all of that pollen just blew right off of the shotgun. None of the pollen stuck.
I will be the first to tell you, that I do not own many pretty guns. I have two nice rifles that are beautifully stocked and the rest of my rifles, shotguns and muzzleloaders are utilitarian models. The shotguns that I have are a Remington 870 and an old Montgomery Wards 20 gauge. Both of them, often lay on the ground while hunting, the bottom of the boat, in the dirt next to me while calling turkeys…Well you get the point…These are tools and tools are meant to be used.
