A couple of times a year, I get excited about a television show and this year the History Channel has produced two great series that I am enamored with. America the Story of US is currently running on the channel and if you get a chance it is EXCEPTIONAL. The next series that I am extremely excited about and I have watched several great clips on this series already is TOP SHOT in which the History Channel has put together a tremendous line up of 16 exceptional markesmen to showcase some of the best shooting in the country.
Contenders will be recreating exceptional shots and inspiring feats of sharp-shooting for this competiion series premiering Sunday, June 6 at 10/9c on HISTORY. Each contender was handpicked to compete for the title. Some are professionals, some are amatuers and all have the talent to showcase breathtaking timing, speed and accuracy in thier quest to win the $100,000 prize package and the title of “Top Shot.” The winner will ultimately have to be skilled in everything from muzzle-loading muskets and modern pistols to slingshots and throwing knives.
The lineup of contenders looks exceptional and the use of Slow motion HD cameras really gives you an idea of the talent pool that is competing for this great contest. HISTORY has not forgottent the viewer in this series and has two great contests of it’s own. The first is the Top Shot Sweepstakes in partnership with XBOX where a winner and friend could travel to Los Angelas for a special Microsoft Game Event. The second is the Top Shot Play and Win Contest in which players will be able to compete on Call of Duty -Modern Warfare 2 to win prizes like an HD TV, Home Theater System or Xbox Elite on June 4th and 5th.
I don’t play video games but I do love great shooting and I could not be more excitedd about this series. It is good to see HISTORY producing some quality programming as exceptional as these two series are.
