Weston Jerky Board and Knife Set

I love jerky. Jerky is a staple for all my outdoor adventures. The best jerky I have found is jerky I make myself at home. Weston created a new jerky board and knife set that makes it easy to slice jerky off the venison rounds that we use for most of the jerky we make.

The jerky board set comes with a knife, insert board, cutting board with a ¼ and 3/8 space for slicing and a sharp, long knife for cutting the jerky. In addition, the set comes with Weston’s jerky seasoning and pink salt cure for a quality marinade for your jerky. The kit comes with everything you need and makes a great gift set for Father’s Day.

I took out two venison rounds from the freezer, thawed them in the refrigerator until they were half thawed. I laid them on the ¼ inch side and began slicing, holding them down with the wooden insert. The wooden insert held the meat in place and protected my hands. A quick tip: place a damp washcloth under the cutting board to keep the board from slipping around on the kitchen counter. I cut perfect slices of meat with the grain for a chewy jerky that I then placed in marinade for four hours and laid out on the dehydrator for about seven hours. Perfect jerky.

The jerky board is great for slicing thin slices of meat. The thinness of the cut would be equally great for preparing meat for stirfry or Philly cheesesteaks.

Check out the Weston Jerky Board and Knife set. Its simple design is easy to use, is a great value and a tool you will use regularly once you try it.
