OSHKOSH, W.I. –– Between June 25th and 27th, Oshkosh, Wisconsin will host the largest deer festival and expo in the state, DeerFest. Tickets are available online now at DeerFestWI.com.
Thousands of deer hunters and enthusiasts will descend upon the Sunnyview Expo Center in Oshkosh for this one-of-a-kind festival, presented by Budweiser. Whether you’re a hardcore deer hunter, what event organizers and father/son team Hugh and Dustin McAloon refer to as a “Deer Geek” or just a casual whitetail enthusiast, there is fun to be had by all at DeerFest.
DeerFest promises to have everything a deer hunter could want, and more. From what the McAloons call the “world’s largest deer store,” with hundreds of exhibitors and celebrity appearances, including Lee and Tiffany Lakosky (of “The Crush,” on the Outdoor Channel), to live food plot demonstrations, free autographs, seminars, video archery, a shooting contest, trophy whitetail displays, Deer Theater and live bands every day, there won’t ever be a dull moment on the exhibition floor. Live acts slated to perform include Johnny Wad, Star Six Nine and Nashville Pipeline. Beyond hunting equipment, exhibitors will also be displaying the latest in trucks, bows, arrows, ATV’s, tractors, hunting cabins, log homes, amongst other wildlife and outdoor sport lifestyle products.
There will be chances to win all kinds of hunter-endorsed goods, including competitions to win a Hoyt Carbon Matrix bow and an Acu-Rite Wireless Weather Station.
