MidwayUSA Foundation’s Hometown Challenge Sweepstakes Generates Over $1.6 Million for Youth Shooting Sports

Columbia, MO – MidwayUSA Foundation is proud to announce the monumental success of its 2025 Hometown Challenge Sweepstakes (HTC), adding over $1.6 million to assist youth shooting sports teams and organizations. The September sweepstakes saw exceptional participation nationwide, with 533 teams receiving direct endowment donations in the month. These contributions to youth shooting teams totaled $734,338.51, an amount that was instantly doubled by the Foundation’s 1:1 match thanks to the generosity of Larry and Brenda Potterfield. In addition, youth shooting sports organizations collectively brought in $85,890 and the Foundation added another $80,000 in incentives.

“Our Hometown Challenge demonstrates the power of grassroots fundraising when paired with our matching dollars and support from industry sponsors,” said MidwayUSA Foundation Executive Director Pete Eisentrager.   “To add over $1.6 million to our endowments in just 30 days is undeniable proof that MidwayUSA Foundation is fully committed to securing the future of youth shooting sports.”
