Bond Arms: Texan – Packing a Big Punch!
We all know the phrase “Everything is bigger in Texas.” Bond Arms has taken that to heart by producing a 6-inch barrel handgun. While this isn’t the first of its kind, it is a functional and dependable firearm for many uses.
Coming chambered in 45 Colt/.410, the Texan takes the cake – or chili – in the aesthetic and functionality classifications. Even from a distance, extended rosewood handles adorn the sides. They are engraved with the model, a picture of Texas with a star in the center, and a snake near the bottom. Even the frame features a small, engraved Texas below the rear sight. This design is an echo of not only the history of the calibers but potential uses.
A 6-inch barrel has the potential to make this not just a sleek-looking firearm but an accurate one. The front is a bladed sight, while the rear has an integrated notch in the frame itself. Capable of firing 45 Colt and 3-inch 410 shells, this firearm is an homage to its namesake. Capable of firing everything from snake shots to 410 slugs, every shot is set to put on target.
Like most Bond Arms firearms, the Texan is a double-barrel handgun made from stainless steel. This model is compatible with all standard Bond barrels and has an integrated cross-bolt safety. The 7-lb trigger and patented rebounding hammer ensure decisive and effective firing, while an integrated extractor assists in quick and easy firearm reloading.
The Texan is an outstanding firearm, and with the compatible barrel design, a true Texan or enthusiast can easily make this a firearm of choice. Currently, the MSRP of the newly released Texan is $700 USD.

BOND ARMS, INC. is located in Granbury, Texas, and manufactures the award-winning Bond Arms Derringer – the finest in double barrel protection. Originally organized under the name Texas Armory, the company became incorporated as Bond Arms in 1995 with the idea that the Remington Model 95 over-under, single-action derringer could be converted from an Old West anachronism into a modern & reliable handgun. The barrel and frame were redesigned to safely fire modern calibers & the entire handgun is constructed entirely from stainless steel. This makes for a pistol that’s both strong and durable.
