CMP Releases New Match Refund Policy for 2025

By Ashley Dugan, CMP Staff Writer

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) has announced updates to its Refund Policy for the 2025 event season.

The current policy now states the following refund scenarios:

  • 30 days or more before the event – 100%
  • 29 days or less before the event – 50%
  • Day of event or after check-in – 0%

Additionally, the following rules will apply:

  • No refunds will be provided for weather delays or weather cancellations.
  • Competitors will not receive a refund if their rifle/pistol does not pass inspection. Competitors are required to know current CMP Competition Rules.
  • Once a competitor receives his/her match packet (scorecards, squadding, t-shirts (if applicable), he or she will not receive a refund if they choose not to compete.

All refunds must be submitted via email to the Match Contact or competitions@thecmp.org.

The updated policy is available for review in all Travel Games/National Matches programs, CMP rulebooks as well as on the National Matches page on the CMP website at https://thecmp.org/cmp-national-matches/.

We thank you for your cooperation as we work to create an efficient and fair procedure for both staff and guests, and we look forward to welcoming you at CMP matches throughout the year! Learn more about all of CMP’s offered events at https://thecmp.org/l/cmp-events/.
