Manfrotto TwistGrip Universal Smartphone Clamp Review
I spend a serious amount of time filming and photographing my adventures, trips and hunts. I often film with several cameras at a time. One of the handiest cameras I own is my cell phone. The quality of a cell phone for filming is exceptional and in every way except sound quality it does the job for the web-quality filming that we do. What has prevented me from seriously using the cell phone for filming my hunts and for podcasts has been the lack of a quality clamp to attach my smartphone to a tripod. Until now. The Manfrotto Twistgrip Universal Smartphone Clamp is genius in how it works.
The TwistGrip is small and functional and fits easily into my pocket so I can carry it with me and use it regularly. At less than 1 inch wide by 4.17 inches tall, it slides into my back or front pocket. With a simple twist, it forms a lockable clamp that holds most smart phones on the market today.
The TwistGrip mounts to any tripod with a ¼ inch plate screw and has a cold-shoe mount on the top to attach a light or a portable microphone. I like to attach this clamp to my Joby Gorillapod because I can twist the mount around my camera and actually film myself in the blind while filming the hunt. I can see the screen clearly and I know how I am framed.
Check out the Manfrotto TwistGrip. It is a great value at under $50.00.
