The True Tactical features a 3.25” drop point, partially serrated, 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade finished in black oxide. The 8Cr13MoV stainless steel is remarkably similar to AUS-8, with a marginally higher carbon composition and a great steel option for a wallet-friendly knife. It is effortless to maintain, resists corrosion well, and is very easy to sharpen.
At the opposing end is a glass breaker sandwiched between a titanium-coated stainless-steel skeletonized frame. A standout feature is the titanium-coated stainless-steel handle. The skeletonized design reduces weight and offers a textured area for increased grip. This grip style also minimizes the potential for various items to get stuck or adhere to the handle. Within the handle is seated the frame lock mechanism and on the outside is a two-position pocket clip mount. There are screw placements for both a tip up and a tip down carry. The tip up placement does not provide a full deep pocket carry but is the best option for an always ready and easy-to-deploy knife with little effort.
This is longer than many other knives in the True Knives lineup and measures at 8” total when open and 4.75” when closed. The thickness is 0.75” and a top to bottom height of 1.375”.
