Barepelt Vests Sign as New Winchester Licensee

Winchester announces a new licensing agreement with Barepelt, one of the most premier vest brands for those who participate in the shooting sports.

Founded in 2020 by Erich and Heather Roden, Barepelt has taken the shooting sports scene by storm with technology-focused shooting vests that perform in all the elements of clay target shooting.

“We are excited to be aligned with Winchester, one of the most iconic brands in the world,” said Erich Roden, founder of Barepelt. “Our customers have a deep passion for the shooting sports and Winchester will no doubt be extremely popular when choosing their designs. I fully expect to see more Winchester-Barepelt branded vests on shooting ranges in the future.”

Customers can find and order Winchester-Barepelt vests by visiting www.barepelt.com and clicking on ‘vests’, or, or simply type in ‘Winchester’ in the search function. A variety of Winchester logos are also available to create custom designs including: the Winchester Horse & Rider, AA shotshell logo, Winchester chisel script and more. Customers can find the logo options by clicking on any vest in the vest section.

“The Barepelt vests are customizable and are extremely popular among individual shooters and youth teams,” said Jason Gilbertson, Director of Marketing for Winchester Ammunition. “We look forward to working with Barepelt in rolling out custom Winchester vests to the shooting public. Their co-branded vests are already out at events and worn proudly by Team Winchester members Zach Kienbaum, Desirae Edmunds, Theo Ribbs and Eric Harvey.”

About Barepelt

As a firefighter, competitive sporting clays shooter and functional fitness advocate, Erich Roden, founded Barepelt. He looked for ways to move and perform better at all three and realized very quickly that clay target shooters are also athletes in every sense of the word. They must swing a shotgun for several hours at a time, at 50 different pairs or more in varying temperatures and elements, while operating at peak mental performance. This makes them an athlete whether they like it or not and is where Barepelt fits into the sport.

About Gun Owners Care

Gun owners care. You care about safety. You care about preventing unauthorized access to firearms. You care about bettering your community, helping those in need, and conserving wildlife and wild places for generations to come. It’s time for gun owners to tell their stories and to show how they’re making a difference. NSSF®, the trade association for the firearms industry, has established the Gun Owners Care campaign to unite gun owners and the firearms industry in this common cause.
