Both the BV-TAC X and the BV-TAC 8 multitools are designed to withstand punishing impacts without losing integrity. Both are 100% made in the USA from high-grade S7 tool steel, which means they are engineered for maximum durability and strength. Both tools also go through a specialized heat-treatment process to achieve superior hardness and toughness, ensuring exceptional resistance to wear. Each tool is then coated in Cerakote® for additional protection against corrosion, abrasion and heat.
Measuring just over 24 inches long, the new BV-TAC X combines four different tools (a hydrant wrench, hammer, ax blade and pry bar) into one streamlined, no-nonsense design that reduces bulk without sacrificing function. Perhaps most notable, is the multitool’s innovative linking capability, allowing two or more tools to be connected for added reach and leverage. For officers needing to perform forced entry, this feature provides the added strength needed to breach doors or execute any tough job where additional force is required. The BV-TAC X is available in three Cerakote® color options: OD Green, Armor Black, and Coyote Tan.
The BV-TAC 8 is the company’s original model and beloved flagship tool. It’s compact, powerful and delivers eight critical functions including a hydrant wrench, spanner wrench, axe blade, pry bar, 7/16- and 5/16-inch wrenches, gas shutoff, and hammer. In fact, the tool now features a newly upgraded knurled hammer face, offering better control and grip for striking glass, nails or debris. Wrapped in a paracord for comfort and added utility, the BV-TAC 8 provides dependable, one-handed versatility in a smaller frame, perfect for law enforcement officers, rescue crews and tactical operators who need a tool they can count on in any scenario. The BV-TAC 8 is available in four Cerakote® color options: OD Green, Armor Black, Coyote Tan and Tactical Gray, with the option to choose one of six paracord colors. Add-on attachments are also available and are sold separately including a shovel, pic and hoe.
