The Clemit ScopeAid

ScopeAid

The Clemit Scope Aid has transformed my shooting ability this year and I could not be happier with the performance of this visionary tool for shooting. Both my rifle shooting and my archery shooting have been hampered by my deteriorating vision. I spent the last couple of years on the lookout for a tool to assist me while hunting with my declining vision.

The week I turned 40, a good friend pointed out that I was pushing my computer farther away from my eyes. I realized I needed glasses. I saw an eye doctor who prescribed readers. I have gone from one set to the next and currently have a 2.0 prescription. I cannot read my iPhone without the help of the readers and I was starting to see the crosshairs on my scope as a blurry mess. I could see where the two lines met but I could not get past the blurry look of the crosshairs. Each year it got a little bit worse. Opticians suggested bi-focals.

I was contacted by the folks at Clemit and they gave me the opportunity to test out a ScopeAid. I entered my prescription, put in the number of inches of eye relief and the team made up my custom-created ScopeAid. When ordering a Clemit ScopeAid, make sure to measure your scope properly using the tools on the Clemit website. I ordered the Clemit Clear and after putting in my information the unit arrived in about a week. The difference is astounding.

The crosshairs on my Leupold scope are clear again. I have great long distance vision so what I am seeing through the scope is as clear as it is going to get. The ScopeAid moves easily from scope to scope so I can switch it from my rifle to my muzzleloader as the season progresses and continue to have crystal clear vision.

The team at Clemit has developed five unique colors to work in a variety of conditions. Crystal offers a clear perfect vision in most all conditions. Yellow offers better vision in low light conditions by filtering out blue light and making targets appear brighter. Amber filters out blue light for bright daytime conditions. Flame provides the highest depth of vision for early season hunting in green vegetation by separating out colors and shapes. Mirage filters out some visible wavelength so the target is clear at long distances and still provides enough wavelengths to judge wind speed and distance.

The heavy rubber and quality lenses from the ScopeAid are well made and the fit on the scope is exceptional. Once you put this on the scope, you know it will stay securely on the scope throughout the season. I plan to use this tool for years to come and look forward to testing out the various colors. If I am lucky, my vision will stay as is but if it does not, I will order another one so I can continue to live the HuntingLife with the confidence I need on each shot I take.
