Delta Waterfowl Announces Annual Duck Hunters Expo

BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA — Delta Waterfowl is pleased to announce the 2022 Duck Hunters Expo presented by Federal Ammunition. Waterfowlers across North America are invited to join The Duck Hunters Organization for this exciting event in Little Rock, Arkansas, July 29 to 31, 2022.

“This is the largest, most entertaining and most informative expo on the planet dedicated exclusively to the duck hunter,” said Brad Heidel, senior director of marketing and corporate relations for Delta Waterfowl. “It will be a celebration of waterfowling, and since it’ll be held just weeks before hunting season, it’s a great way to get fired up for opening day while getting all the gear you need for success.”

Additionally, Heidel praised the longtime support of presenting sponsor Federal Ammunition, which jumped at the chance to make Delta Waterfowl’s Duck Hunters Expo a reality.

“Federal is proud to partner with Delta Waterfowl as they launch the 2022 Duck Hunters Expo next summer,” said Jason Nash, vice president of marketing for Federal Ammunition. “It is a great opportunity to showcase our shared values of conservation, duck production and growing the hunting base.”

The Duck Hunters Expo will be held inside the 80,000-square-foot Little Rock Statehouse Convention Center, which features ample parking, views of the Arkansas River, and convenient access to the nearby national airport. In addition to exhibit booths occupied by all your favorite brands of firearms, ammunition, duck calls and waterfowling gear, informative presentations will be held on a “Delta Waterfowl Stage,” “Duck Dog Stage,” and “Duck Hunter Stage.”

“The stages will feature top experts in their fields, from Delta biologists to leading dog trainers,” Heidel said. “Fascinating daily presentations will cover everything from Delta’s duck production techniques, such as Hen Houses, Predator Management and habitat conservation, to advanced retriever training techniques and how to select your next great pup. Nearly all events will be held indoors — it’s the perfect opportunity to escape the southern heat and think about the approach of those cool fall mornings!”

Outdoor events will include a pair of parades that allow participation by you — yes you — that is if you’re interested in showing off your duck dog or boat. The Duck Dog Parade will occur in downtown Little Rock, while the Duck Boat Parade will float down the Arkansas River.

“Start a conversation with any duck hunter about his dog or duck boat, and you best pull up a chair,” Heidel said. “We will honor and recognize all of today’s great duck dog breeds, and we encourage all duck boat fanatics to fly the American flag for all to see. Both should be a memorable sight!”

While the general convention is open to the public, capacity is limited for evening events, with tickets available after January 1, 2022. These will include a Duck Hunters Ball on Friday, July 29, and a Delta Waterfowl Grand Celebration on Saturday, July 30. Both will feature games, raffles and auctions offering unique prizes that any waterfowler is sure to treasure.

Further, participation in the expo will help Delta Waterfowl in its mission to produce ducks and secure the future of waterfowl hunting.

“Proceeds from the event will directly support Delta’s duck production, HunteR3, habitat conservation and research programs,” Heidel said. “You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of our organization and greater appreciation for the dedication of our members, volunteers, staff and partners to ducks and duck hunters. And you’ll help us put more ducks over decoys!”
