Columbia, MO – TheMidwayUSA Foundation recently received $54,061 from Browning for the development and support of youth shooting sports. The funds will be split among 6 shooting teams that have a Team Endowment Account with the MidwayUSA Foundation.

“When we support youth shooting with our donations to the MidwayUSA Foundation we believe that we are supporting a better country and a better world, as positive values are taught. When a young man or young woman becomes involved in an organized shooting program it provides an unequalled opportunity to learn responsibility, self-mastery, teamwork, respect of authority, and respect of peers. Shooting itself demands extreme concentration along with a large degree of practice and perseverance in order to learn and excel,” explained Blake J. Mecham, National Sales Manager for Browning and Winchester.

The MidwayUSA Foundation is a non-profit charity that works with shooting teams, conservation groups and the shooting industry to raise funds in support of high school and collegiate shooting programs. “Working together with industry partners like Browning increases the likelihood of continued financial success for these teams,” says Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO, MidwayUSA. Each donation, such as the money received from Browning, brings the Foundation another step closer to achieving sustainable support for youth shooting programs.
