My first thought on this pullover was definitely performance and comfort. The exterior is a smooth, active-performance blend of 94% polyester and 6% spandex. This lightweight 1/4 zip fleece pullover comes in a blaze orange and stone color combo. It has a soft fleece feel on the inside with zippered chest and hand-warmer front pockets. This soft pullover holds its shape and will keep your body warm. A nicely added feature is the thumb holes in the lower sleeves; these help hold the sleeve in place and adds a cozy feel. Most importantly, you remain visible during your hunting or scouting venture. The cozy upland fleece can serve as your outer layer during cool seasons or as a mid-layer during colder seasons. I would like to see this fleece in other color combos for other hunting seasons or casual wear. I would buy everyone! The fit is feminine yet true to size. When I see this button-down top, I think of “The Ladies Field Fashion or Upland Chic.” This button-down is made of a durable fabric blend of cotton and spandex. Adding to the elegance, the buttons are metal and brown-hued in color. Additionally, the top is a color combination of blaze orange and stone. It has DWR to help shed water on rainy days in the field. What is DWR? Durable Water Repellent is an ultra-thin polymer that’s applied to the outermost fabric layer. DWR reduces the surface tension of the fabric; in turn, water simply rolls off. The shirt was designed with ambidextrous quilted shoulder and elbow pads providing extra padding for protection and increased visibility with the blaze orange. The blouse has two front shell pockets with snap enclosures. It would be an elegant touch to add a scarf to this blouse and outfit. Quilted shoulder panels provide added protection and comfort when carrying your shotgun or any item slung over your shoulder. Located on the back is a blood-proof game bag. Adding to the versatility, you will find snaps on the side that open for expanded storage on the game bag. The vest meets most state blaze orange requirements. Kortni Upland Pant
The Kortni upland pants are some of the most versatile pants DSG has to offer. The Kortni pants are made of a Nylon and Spandex 4-way stretch fabric. This makes them durable yet provides comfort at the same time. On the front, you will find double-layered abrasion paneling that continues onto the lower back, making that iconic upland pant look we all recognize. A noticeable difference between upland pants I’ve had before is the flexibility. With these pants, you will not feel like you’re walking with cardboard laying across your legs. While hunting in the field, I prefer to avoid any additional resistance caused by my clothing; the Korni pants have yet to disappoint. Though the paneling makes them thicker, DSG designers have implemented 2-way side zippers on the thighs for ventilation. Designers, additionally, have added gussets in the crotch to allow for better mobility. On the rear, you will find innovative sown darts to help with an improved fit, and the knee darts for articulation offer more flexibility. The knee articulation is one of my favorite features of all the pants DSG offers. When hunting in the field, I want to move and bend without constantly repositioning my clothing. The knee articulation has been a game-changer for me. Again with the purposeful pockets, these pants have six pockets that allow for plenty of storage, with two standard front pockets, two rear pockets, and two more zippered pockets on the thighs. Something we all can appreciate is at the base of the pants, there are side zippers to accommodate putting on and removing a variety of hunting boots styles. The Kortni pant comes in a wide variety of sizes: 2-16 in petite (30″ inseam), regular (32″ inseam), and tall (34″ inseam) lengths. The Kortni upland pants retail for $160.
Lace Up Hunting Boot – 600 Gram
DSG now has boots! When shopping for new boots, a few things come standard on the must-have list: good grip, water resistance, and good fit. DSG’s lace-up hunting boots hit all the wickets. Moreover, they are stylish and versatile. The lightweight 600-gram boots are great for year around outdoor activities. These boots are water-resistant and have a gripped sole for excellent traction. Whether you’re hunting, hiking, or exploring, these lace-up boots will keep your feet comfortable and dry. Not to mention the added ankle protection with the higher cut. The lace-up boots are available in women’s whole sizes 6-11. The boot comes in two color options Nubuck Tan and Realtree Edge. The 600-gram lace-up boots retail for $150. They also offer a 1400-gram for women looking for a warmer insulated boot. I personally own the 1400-gram boots. My toes are typically the first thing to get cold in the field. I’m always thankful I have the option for more insulated boots on those colder days—the 1400-gram retail for $180.
