Hornady Reloading New Powder Funnel

Hornady Reloading now offers an innovative powder funnel that features a tapered mouth, a double-step abutment, and a shorter design to enhance the user’s reloading experience. No longer will the user have to contend with powder spills that degrade accuracy. These new features will provide the user with cost and time savings so they can spend more time in the field and less at the reloading bench.

The tapered mouth will fit over the shoulder of a magnum cartridge. Allowing the user to have one funnel with the versatility to fit nearly any round they need to reload. This reduces the amount of space and budget consumed by having a unique set of tools for every cartridge.

The double-step abutment allows the case mouth to butt up squarely against the funnel preventing grains from slipping down the side during loading. This feature alone provides for the preservation of accuracy during reloading. Carefully measured grains transferred into the case no longer experience the threat of falling down the side of the case while pouring. This abutment works on any cartridges ranging from a .22 cal to a .338. This versatility greatly impacts the number of funnels needed to accurately transfer powder from the scale to the cartridge.

The short design of the new funnel allows for a lower center of gravity to prevent tipping and difficult handling while transferring powder charges from the scale to the cartridge. By placing the funnel on top of the cartridge, leaving both hands free to handle the powder as needed without fear of the funnel falling over. In addition, to allow for more ergonomic convenience, designers included a squared portion of the funnel lip to prevent it from rolling off the workbench onto the floor.
