LaCrosse Receives National NWTF Corporate Achievement Award

EDGEFIELD, S.C. — For its unwavering partnership and consistent support of the NWTF mission, LaCrosse received the NWTF’s Corporate Achievement Award. Michael Coughlin, LaCrosse vice president of wholesale and government sales, accepted the award during the NWTF’s 50th annual Convention and Sport Show, sponsored by Mossy Oak.

“Our partnership with the National Wild Turkey Federation is incredibly important to us at LaCrosse Footwear,” Coughlin said. “It goes beyond shared goals in the field — this collaboration strengthens our connection to the outdoor community and supports conservation, hunting traditions and experiences that matter to our employees, customers and the lands we cherish.”

LaCrosse’s corporate partnership with the NWTF started in 2006. Since then, they’ve supported the NWTF’s banquet program, convention, licensing program and most recently its sweepstakes program. The NWTF licensing program with LaCrosse began in 2018 with two cobranded boot styles and has since expanded to five styles. Together, the NWTF and LaCrosse have made a significant impact in hunting footwear that supports conservation and the wild turkey.

The senior product line manager at LaCrosse, Chris Currah, was instrumental in launching and continuing the licensing program. Including the royalties from boot sales and other programs, LaCrosse’s financial support has surpassed $500,000.

Most recently, they created their popular ‘boot koozie’ that is sold at their booth on the show floor at NWTF’s convention each year. They donate all of the proceeds to the NWTF, which totaled more than $5,000 in 2025.

“We are grateful for our partnership with LaCrosse and their immense contributions to our organization to support our mission and help us unite a nation through the life-changing power of the outdoors,” NWTF co-CEO Jason Burckhalter said. “We are proud to recognize LaCrosse for their unwavering commitment to the NWTF and our nation’s natural resources.”
