Muck Boot Company Kids Boots Bring Big Smiles

When it comes to keeping your kid’s feet warm and dry this winter, look no further than the Kid’s Rugged II Performance Outdoor Boot by Muck Boot Company. I’ve worn Muck Boots for years now and I am so happy to pass my passion for these boots on to my own kids.

Rugged IIWe’re having a mild winter so far in eastern Nebraska. Last weekend, a thunderstorm rolled through which brought a couple of days of steady, dreary rain. As temperatures fell slightly, the last of the rain came in the form of slushy snow. Of course, there was not near enough snow to cancel school so we did what we do in winter: grab a coat, a hat, gloves, and boots. To my dismay and to my son’s discomfort, we discovered that last year’s boots were way – and I mean way – too small. There was no way he could wear those boots to school.

So he put on the only other alternative: his daily athletic shoes. By this time we were cutting it close to getting to school in time, so he ran the rest of the way to school through an inch or two of slush. The kind that turns liquid at the touch.

I felt kind of bad, but what can you do?

When I picked him up from school in the afternoon, he told me that his feet (“Not just my shoes and my socks, but my feet, Mom.”) were wet until about two minutes before school let out. He said that his teacher told him that it was only water; that they would dry. Which is true, but still I felt bad.

Thankfully, sitting under the Christmas tree was a big box wrapped up with a candy-striped ribbon with his name on it. Deciding this particular gift couldn’t wait until Christmas, we gave it to our son right as he came in the front door.

He tore the paper off the gift and opened the beautiful Muck Boot box. His face lit up. He tried the boots on and immediately headed outside to run around and stomp in the leftover snow and slush. A thumbs up and shouts of joy with arms raised in the air let us know we made a good choice.

The Kid’s Rugged II boots are designed with added insulation for extra warmth. They are comfortable, durable, and waterproof just like all Muck Boots. The outsole is great for kids who spend lots of time outdoors in snow and mud. The tread is aggressive and slip-resistant.

This winter is going to be a warm and dry one around here, at least for our feet, thanks to The Original Muck Boot Company.
