Native Eyewear Kodiak Review

I love a great pair of sunglasses, especially in the spring. The turkeys are gobbling, flowers are blooming, fish are biting and I am finally getting outside after a long winter of working on inside projects, writing and staying out of the cold Nebraska winter weather. When Native Eyewear contacted me and asked if I was interested in testing out a new pair of sunglasses from their lineup for 2016, I jumped at the chance to test out the new Kodiak N3 Green Reflex sunglasses.

These glasses in Desert Tortoise look fantastic with the Reflex Lenses. The mirrored lenses reduce glare and visual light transmission while enhancing contrast. The polarized lens technology is one of the most advanced systems on the market.   The N3 lenses block up to 4X more infrared light than other lenses and provide UV protection up to 400nm. They also significantly reduce blue light and UV while delivering high contrast, definition and acuity. Each pair comes with SportFlex lenses included, Cushinol, Mastoid Temple Grips and interchangeable lenses.

Honestly, parts of that last paragraph are like a sound bite from a highbrow marketing agency. In the end, I wear these glasses because I love how the world looks through these lenses and I look pretty darn good in them if I do say so myself. I love the Green Reflex Lens and I love how clear and bright I see when I am wearing them. I see details like buds on the spring trees and spring cloud formations that I cannot see with cheap sunglasses.

I took these glasses fishing on Saturday after a local trout stocking on the city lake. I fished for a 45 minutes and limited out with 5 fat rainbows for the smoker. I could spot fish following my white Rooster Tail all the way to the shore with the polarized lenses. I can’t wait to get out into the turkey woods with these glasses. I wish I could get a green reflex N3 lens specifically for my Nikon Camera.

Marjorie has been wearing Native Eyewear for several years and last year her nose pads finally gave out. Native offer a lifetime warranty on their glasses and for $30 shipping and handling fee she was sent a replacement pair in a matter of a few days. The customer service team was exceptional and they really took care of Marjorie. I love a company who stands behind their product.

Native Eyewear produces sunglasses for those who are serious about the outdoors. They back it up with serious technology in every pair of glasses, an exceptional warranty and fantastic customer service. Oh, yeah, and they make you look cooler than you might actually be (at least that is true in my case).
