Peak Design Capture Pro Camera Clip and Capture Binocular Clip Review

The Capture Pro Camera Clip and the Capture Bino Binocular Clip by Peak Design were created to assist photographers and outdoor enthusiasts with reliable tools to help them easily access the tools they need to capture and view the world around them. We found them to be quite useful in the field while testing them this turkey season.

Peak Design sent out the Capture Pro Camera Clip as well as the Capture Bino Binocular Clip for us to test. We had the opportunity to put these through the ringer over the last 8 weeks of our gobbler season. I found these tools to be easy to use and set up. They provided easy access to our binoculars and cameras while hunting. For the purposes of this review we focus primarily on the bino clip because our readership is probably most interested in binoculars versus cameras.

The Capture Bino Clip comes with a J-hook and a clip system. Both systems work interchangeably and allow us quick and easy access to our binoculars. The Vanguard ED II binoculars we use work extremely well with the J-hook and allow us to mount the system directly to our binoculars. The capture clip attaches to my belt as well as to the strap of my pack (the Sitka Full Choke Pack). It is pretty easy to reach up and grab the binoculars when I need them. I did not have my binoculars swinging around my neck and I was always aware of where my binoculars were when I needed them.

My only complaint about this system is that when hunting in inclement weather, (most of my season) the binoculars are exposed to the elements. This is not a system I would use with Swarovski’s due to the lack of cover for my optics. Placing the binocular system on my belt provided a little more protection for the optics.

I will use this system in the fall while tree stand hunting because I can set up the Capture Bino Clip onto my safety harness and always have my optics at the ready and out of the way when shooting the bow. It provides me the knowledge that my optics are right where I need them.

Check out Peak Design if you are looking for a new system to carry your cameras and binoculars. I found them to work for me and I will use them in the right situations.
