Rifle Maker Axial Precision Announces New Name: ALLTERRA ARMS

August 14, 2020 – Boise, Idaho… When Axial Precision unveiled their patented bolt-action rifle technology in 2015, serious shooters around the world took notice of their flagship model: The ALLTERRA. No other rifle possessed the same engineering and machining to achieve Bolt-to-Bore Alignment™ and No-Fail Cycling™ – resulting in bench-rest accuracy combined with smooth, dependable cycling in the harshest field conditions.
To honor that innovation, the Idaho-based rifle maker has officially changed their brand name to ALLTERRA ARMS. According to company founder Drew Foster, “Our initial brand name certainly conveyed our approach to building every rifle component along a single axis. Yet we felt it lacked the attitude that our guns have for delivering guaranteed long-range accuracy in all terrains. ALLTERRA embraces that spirit.”
ALLTERRA ARMS currently offers four unique rifle models: Their versatile, namesake ALLTERRA STEEL and lightweight ALLTERRA CARBON; the compact, nimble MOUNTAIN SHADOW; and the tactical ARID 1760.
Every model features the company’s patented receiver that’s built to .0005” tolerances to the exact concentric center of the receiver. “Our technology, combined with a patented Double-Tenon Barrel Seat™, ensures a straight line through the center of the firing pin, cartridge, chamber and bore,” explains Foster. The resulting harmonics minimize bullet yaw for maximum long-range accuracy, guaranteed. Those same harmonics also give shooters the freedom to feed the rifle a variety of different cartridge loads with minimal changes in accuracy.
ALLTERRA ARMS designed relaxed tolerances between the bolt and receiver for No-Fail Cycling™ when working the action. Patented conical lugs engage and lock into a unique elliptical raceway, so the surfaces literally “self-clean” with every cycle. “We send debris out of harm’s way when cycling, so it can’t jam up the gun,” promises Foster.
Another innovation that sets ALLTERRA ARMS apart is their lightweight Carbon Hunter Stock design. It has a revolutionary geometry with a negative cheek comb and tilted palm swell that promotes exceptional shooting form while managing recoil for superior accuracy.
ALLTERRA ARMS stands behind every rifle sold with an unconditional, unmatched performance guarantee that covers everything, including:
- Sub 1/2” 3-shot groups with premium factory ammo
- Sub 1/4” 3-shot groups with custom ALLTERRA ARMS ammunition
- No significant change in accuracy when shooting different bullet weights
- Will not fail to cycle in any field condition
