RMEF and Leupold Outline Goals for Conserving America’s Big Game at SHOT Show

MISSOULA, Mont.  — The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will highlight its commitment to conserve or enhance 10 million acres of big game habitat by 2030 at the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) in Las Vegas, Nev., this week. Visit booth 13622 to not only gain insight into RMEF’s accomplishments in land conservation, public access expansion, habitat enhancement and hunting advocacy, but also discover how the organization will make an even larger impact across big game country in the future.

“Elk and elk hunting are why RMEF was founded in 1984, but many other big game species—and the hunters who pursue them—have benefitted from our 40-plus years of mission work,” said RMEF President and CEO Kyle Weaver. “RMEF is not only conserving elk; RMEF is Conserving America’s Big Game now and for tomorrow.”

To emphasize the importance of its mission and its dedication to big game habitat and hunters, RMEF is teaming up with Official Optics Partner Leupold for a special happy hour event at SHOT Show on Tuesday, Jan. 20, from 4 p.m. until show close. Attendees are invited to stop by Leupold booth 12421, spend time with RMEF’s Weaver and Leupold President and CEO Bruce Pettet, and see what’s possible when partners, sportsmen and industry come together for conservation.

“RMEF is doing great work, and not just for elk—but for every big game species that calls elk habitat its home,” said Pettet, an RMEF board member. “It’s incredibly important now, more than ever, that we as an industry come together to protect the outdoor opportunities and traditions that we care so much about. No optics company does more for conservation in the United States than Leupold, and no organization does more to ensure the future of America’s big game than RMEF. That’s why we are always, and always will be, proud to stand by their side in the mission to ensure the future of our hunting heritage.”
