Mark and Peggy Rose Expand Outdoor Education in Their Own Backyard Through Generous Donation to Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation.
DALLAS, TEXAS – OCTOBER 7, 2025 – Thanks to the generous donation of Mark and Peggy Rose, thousands of students in Clifton ISD, Meridian ISD and Hico ISD will now have the opportunity to experience outdoor education through the Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation (OTF). The Rose family’s gift ensures that students in North-Central Texas can access OTF’s acclaimed Outdoor Adventures curriculum for years to come.

Founded in 2010 in Dallas, OTF’s K-12 Outdoor Adventures (OA) is now in 1,900+ schools in all 50 states impacting nearly 200,000 students annually. Outdoor Adventures is fully aligned with the national standards to be taught as a physical education course in any public or private school in North America.
Outdoor Adventures is a fun, interactive course in which students are taught lifelong outdoor skills using an integrated, 40-unit curriculum that includes STEM, communication, and social skills. Angler education, archery, hunter education, boater education, orienteering, survival skills, camping, and outdoor cooking are among the most popular units. OA teachers can select units or lessons that are most relevant to their location.
