Rumpl Original Shammy Towel Review

Having a quality camp towel is a blessing.  Having one that packs down into a small foldable package is icing on the cake.  Rumpl has designed and produced a towel made out of shammy fabric that beats all of the odds and is everything you could hope for.

The first thing you should know about the Rumpl Original Shammy Towel is that this thing is unbelievably soft.  So soft you may just want to turn this towel into your regular daily towel.  The next thing you should know is that the Rumpl towel is freakishly absorbent and dries fast.  Really, really fast.  The blanket also repels human and pet hair, odors, stains and, most importantly, sand.

The Rumpl towel is built for surfers, though anyone would love its features.  The travel towel has sleek buttons and button holes along the long side so you can wrap the towel around your waist that allows you to change your clothes beneath the towel for privacy.  It’s perfect for streamside changing out of waders or at the camp when changing clothes.

The travel version folds up to a very small package which weighs less than one pound.  The travel towel is 30 inches by 55 inches and .93 lbs., the 1-person towel is 30 inches by 70 inches and weighs 1 lb. and the 2-person towel is 50 inches by 70 inches and weighs 2 lbs.  We would like to see the towel come with a small stuff sack.  Luckily, there are plenty of available stuff sacks on the market and finding a small one is not hard.

If you are looking for a great travel or camp towel, take a serious look at the Rumpl Original Shammy Towel.  Even if you usually make do without a towel, take a look at this towel anyway.  It might change your mind.
