Savage Arms has two recent new product introductions sitting atop Athlon Outdoor’s Ballistic’s Best Reader’s Choice Awards. The Savage 1911 is a finalist for the 1911 (Under $1,500) category and the Impulse Mountain Hunter is a finalist for the Hunting Rifle (High End) category.

For the 2023 issue of Ballistic’s Best, Athlon’s staff of writers and editors evaluated around 60 different companies. They looked at firearms across multiple categories, firing literally thousands of rounds downrange.
