TenPoint Founding Member Chuck Jordan to be Inducted into Archery Hall of Fame.

Mogadore, OH. TenPoint Crossbows is excited to announce that founding member Chuck Jordan will be inducted into the Archery Hall of Fame in 2024. An unprecedented feat in the archery industry, Chuck will become the third TenPoint founding member in the Archery Hall of Fame – joining Bill Bednar (2007) and George Gardner (2008).

“It is a great honor and very humbling to be inducted into the Archery Hall of Fame”, said Chuck Jordan.  “I love archery and it doesn’t matter how you shoot arrows.”

Chuck’s love for archery began in his teenage years – from shooting a straight-limb bow at just 11-years old to entering and placing in tournaments throughout the following years.

In 1974 Chuck entered the archery industry when Pro Line Archery called and offered him a job after seeing him compete in tournaments – against the likes of TenPoint’s own Bill Bednar, who was eventually inducted into the 2007 Archery Hall of Fame class.

As time went by, Chuck’s knowledge & experience grew while working for Darton Archery.  In 1991 he helped form Midwest Marketing, a manufacturer’s rep group that manufactured and sold arrows throughout the United States.  Their arrow manufacturing division eventually became one of the top 5 arrow producers in the country – making more than ¼ of a million arrows per year.

While working with Midwest Marketing, Chuck was approached by George Gardner (2008 Archery Hall of Fame inductee), Bill Bednar (2007 Archery Hall of Fame inductee), and Rick Bednar about going into business together on a crossbow company called Hunter’s Manufacturing Company (est. 1994, now TenPoint Crossbow Technologies).  With the vision they had and over 100-years of archery experience under their belt, Chuck knew it was a no-brainer.

“Hunter’s Manufacturing was born & bred with crossbows in mind, and I saw a future in new ideas and products,” he said.

In 1998 Chuck started at Bohning Archery as the National Sales Manager. In his time there, he

was proud to be part of the launch for Bohning Blazer Vanes and the Bohning Lynx Quiver.

In 2007, Chuck was inducted into the Bowhunter’s Hall of Fame in Category A – Bowhunter’s Showing Excellence in the Field of Hunting.

“My induction was for contribution to the sport I was good at. When I was a shooter, I was cordial, and I would talk to my opponents. I treated everyone with kindness and honesty,” he said.

Eventually, Chuck began to focus most of his attention on working for TenPoint Crossbow Technologies – spending time educating people about crossbow myths and facts at consumer shows. He also worked closely with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and members of the Michigan House and Senate.  Through his hard work and dedication to help every hunter enjoy the sport of bowhunting, in 2010 most of the restrictions on crossbow hunting in Michigan were lifted and many states have followed suit since then.

“I’ve known Chuck for over 50 years, and he has been a huge asset to the archery industry and the archery community,” said Rick Bednar, TenPoint Executive Chairman. “From tournament archery to hunting camps, from bow designs to accessory designs, from recurve bows to crossbows, from trade shows to consumer shows; Chuck has interacted with thousands of people over the decades, and has always done it with sincerity, and a smile on his face. It is an honor to see him inducted into the Archery Hall of Fame, he deserves to be here! Congratulations Chuck!”

Since retiring from TenPoint, Chuck spends most of his time keeping his finger on the pulse of the archery industry by staying in touch with friends and also serves as a Director on the Archery Hall of Fame board.  In his spare time Chuck works on his pride & joy – his Wicked Ridge farm, with his son Bobby and wife Judy.

While many crossbow companies have come and gone since TenPoint crossbows was founded in 1994, TenPoint has excelled in continuing to drive crossbow innovation and engineering, thanks in large part to its two guiding principles set forth by their founding members – Family Owned and Built in America. In 2024, they will celebrate 30 years of building the world’s highest quality, most accurate, and safest crossbows.
