Union Sportsmen’s Alliance Hires Jason Lupardus as Chief Operating Officer

The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) has tapped conservation industry veteran Jason Lupardus to serve as the organization’s chief operating officer (COO).

With nearly two decades of experience in the conservation arena, Lupardus has worked in the public and private sector to grow collaborative conservation efforts, increase access to public lands, create hunter programs, guide policy, create initiatives, work with donors and foundations, provide operational and financial oversight, and ensure natural resources will be maintained for future generations

“Jason’s passion for conservation and the outdoors, coupled with a proven track record of operational oversight, collaborative team building, and strong program management, will help him play an integral role in maintaining organizational efficiency,” said USA Executive Director and CEO Scott Vance. “His skillset will also help the USA grow intelligently as we continue to increase our conservation footprint and value to our Unions and partners.”

Lupardus’ career includes more than nine years at the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), where he served various roles, including director of conservation operations, development director, and a certified wildlife biologist.

Lupardus’ personal passions parallel the USA’s mission of uniting the union community through conservation, and he believes that some of the best life changing experiences occur when spending time with someone in the outdoors.

“I absolutely love working with people and bringing folks together for the common good,” he said. “I am so excited to join the USA family and to be part of its efforts to bring together some of the hardest working people across our great nation to drive conservation delivery in a unified fashion.”

Originally from rural Center Star, Alabama, Lupardus grew up in the outdoors and developed a strong work ethic in the construction field as he restored old homes and public buildings. He worked full-time while earning a B.S. and M.S. in wildlife and fisheries science with a minor in forestry from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Lupardus now resides in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he spends his free time hunting, fishing, hiking, shooting, and exploring wild places with his wife and two daughters.
