USA CLAY TARGET LEAGUE ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF HOMESCHOOL CLAY TARGET LEAGUE

St. Paul, MN – The USA Clay Target League is excited to launch the USA Homeschool Clay Target League, a new clay target program developed specifically for homeschool associations, organizations, student athletes, and their families.

The USA Clay Target League is the nation’s largest youth clay target shooting sport organization, and offers Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, and 5-Stand leagues to athletes and schools across the country. The League had over 30,000 students on over 1,200 school-approved teams nationwide in 2019. Launching the USA Homeschool Clay Target League will extend the opportunity to participate in clay target shooting sports to hundreds of thousands of homeschooled high school students across the country.

“Most states have laws that restrict or even prevent homeschooler participation in school-organized youth activities.” Josh Kroells, Operations Manager of the USA Clay Target League stated. “That deprives many youth of important opportunities to socialize, build relationships, and develop a sense of community and teamwork.”

The League’s co-ed and adaptive nature are key attractions to schools nationwide. The League is fully Title IX compliant with both male and female athletes competing on the same team. Additionally, it’s an ‘adaptive’ sport, which allows students with physical disabilities to take part. The League is also the safest sport for youth and collegiate athletes, with not one reported injury since the inception of the League in 2001. Each athlete must complete firearm safety certification before participation.

The USA Homeschool Clay Target League is a division of the USA Clay Target League, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The League is the independent provider of clay target shooting sports for secondary and postsecondary schools. The League’s priorities are safety, fun, and marksmanship – in that order.
