USA CLAY TARGET LEAGUE PARTNERS WITH THE GIVING BLOCK TO ACCEPT CRYPTOCURRENCY DONATIONS

Eagan, Minnesota – The USA Clay Target League is excited to announce a partnership with cryptocurrency fundraising leader The Giving Block that will now allow youth shooting sports supporters to donate in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

“The importance of youth shooting sports participation cannot be understated.” Said John Nelson, President of the USA Clay Target League. “Our athletes are the future of hunting, the future of conservation, and the future of America’s traditional outdoor heritage. The League is proud to be the leader in introducing youth to shooting sports, and we’re excited to provide those who understand the importance and promise of the League’s high school and college shooting programs a new opportunity to contribute to their success.

With nearly 40,000 participating athletes in the 2020-2021 school year, the 501(c3) non-profit USA Clay Target League is the largest youth clay target shooting sport program in the nation. The League offers trap, skeet, sporting clays, and 5-stand leagues to secondary and postsecondary schools across the country.

As Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have increased in value and visibility in the last few years, the number of donors looking for opportunities to donate with cryptocurrency has skyrocketed. The Giving Block is expected to process over $100 million in cryptocurrency donations by the end of 2021, and projects over $1 billion in donations in 2022.

“The League has had a number of inquiries from supporters that wished to donate cryptocurrency in the past year,” Nelson said. “We are very pleased to now have a platform in place for more donors to support the future of hunting and shooting sports.”

About the USA Clay Target League

The League is the only 100% school-approved clay target shooting sport program in America and the League’s co-ed and adaptive nature are key attractions to schools nationwide. The League is fully Title IX compliant with both male and female athletes competing on the same team. Additionally, it’s an ‘adaptive’ sport, which allows students with physical disabilities to take part.

The League’s priorities are safety, fun, and marksmanship – in that order.

The League is the safest sport in school, with not one reported injury since the inception of the League in 2001. Each athlete must complete firearm safety certification before participation.
