Winchester® Announces NSCA Top Shot Sub-Junior Program

Winchester Ammunition announces its Top Shot Sub-Junior Program, which awards the top sporting clays shooters in the country as part of the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) Championship Tour.

The Top Shot Sub-Junior program will recognize the top 4 competitors and each will receive 25 cases of Winchester AA® target shotshells, as well as a gear package. The year-long points race winners will be announced at the conclusion of the National Championship in San Antonio, Texas, on October 29, 2023.

“The shooting sports is the fastest growing activity among youth in America and the Top Shot Sub-Junior Program is another great opportunity to recognize and reward individuals who participate and compete,” said Jason Gilbertson, director of marketing for Winchester Ammunition.

Winchester is the industry leader in youth shooting sports support as the official ammunition of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP), and also working with the AIM Program through the Amateur Trap Shooting Association (ATA) and now our Sub-Junior Top Shoot program through the NSCA.

In 2019, Winchester became the title sponsor of the NSCA Championship Tour and the official ammo sponsor of the USA Sporting and FITASC Teams. Winchester further enhanced its commitment into Sporting Clays and the NSCA with the announcement of the Winchester Ladies Cup in 2021, which provided female competitors a sizable increase in prize money. This prize pool encompassed the NSCA Tour events and culminates with the crowning of the Ladies Cup champion at NSCA Nationals every October.

About Gun Owners Care

Gun owners care. You care about safety. You care about preventing unauthorized access to firearms. You care about bettering your community, helping those in need, and conserving wildlife and wild places for generations to come. It’s time for gun owners to tell their stories and to show how they’re making a difference. NSSF®, the trade association for the firearms industry, has established the Gun Owners Care campaign to unite gun owners and the firearms industry in this common cause.
