The Work Sharp Combo Knife Sharpener showed up as a press sample. The day it arrived was the day before I headed out west on vacation. I opened it up, took a quick look through the box, grabbed my pocketknife and quickly ran it through the sharpener. The process of sharpening the knife took me a minute: I plugged the unit in, ran my knife through with five swipes on each side and across the ceramic two or three times per side and I dropped it on to-be-reviewed table and left for vacation.
It was a few days later when I pulled out my pocketknife to cut some apples, salami and cheese for a quick lunch and boy this knife was sharp. The combo knife sharpener uses a very precise 25-degree angle guide for sharpening and honing. The ceramic rod helps you hone your knives. You can even sharpen serrated knives.
The Work Sharp Combo Knife Sharpener costs less than $60.00. At this price, coupled with the absolute ease of use, I absolutely recommend it. I am sure there are sharpeners out there for a lot more money and can maybe sharpen and hone to a more precise tolerance, but for everyday use on your average hunting knife, this is a great sharpener.
