YETI Hopper Two Review

YETI Hopper Two Review

The YETI Hopper Two 40 came in to my view on a brown truck.  I happened to be in the driveway unloading a load of hard-earned firewood from down on the farm. I ripped open the box to get my first look at this new version of the YETI Hopper Two.  All of last year we lived with the YETI Hopper 30 on our trip out west on my honeymoon.  It was the trip of a lifetime and that cooler was our day-to-day tool that kept us in food and drinks on the road for more than 5,000 miles through some of the most beautiful country.  We also experienced some of the hottest days on our trip in the desert together.  We had cold drinks, cold food and we loved every day of our adventure.

I couldn’t imagine how they were going to build the Hopper into a better cooler, but they did.  The Hopper has a new zipper and a new profile that makes this cooler so much easier to carry over a long distance.  The zipper is now on the side and the entire cooler opens more easily.  This makes it easier to open, load, drain and clean.  The Hopper Two still has the Hydrolok Zipper that makes this cooler absolutely leak proof, but the new zipper allows you to get into the cooler more easily so you can find that ziplock bag with the extra sharp cheddar cheese and that last cold drink that you have been saving for the right moment.  The Hopper Two still has the Double-Stitch Carry Option, the Hitchpoint Grid and the 6 D-ring Tie-Down Points that you have come to know on the Hopper.

What makes the YETI Hopper a YETI and ultimately what makes it worth what you pay for this cooler is the DRYHIDE shell and the COLDCELL Insulation.  The quality fabric on this cooler is waterproof and resistant to mildew, punctures, and UV rays which would change the coloration and rot the cloth.  The liner is made from FDA-approved food-grade material and it helps that it is bright and easy to clean.

YETI Hopper Two

The YETI Hopper Two is in stores now.  I am excited to have this new version that is slightly larger, much easier to carry and easier to load, handle and clean.  You will want one of these.  Check them out at Yeti.com.
