This review is for there Vapor Barrier Anti-Corrosion Firearm Storage & Preservation Bags.  Tactical Weapon Bag.

Yep, that’s a mouth full and hence forth will just call it “THE BAG ” .

I’m Eldondo a Pro staffer for Huntinglife.com and one small part of what we do from time to time is evaluate products that companies or individuals sent to our Master Guru to have evaluated.

Some of the products are, “Why didn’t I think of that?” stuff. And some are, “I thought of that years ago, but didn’t do anything about it” kind of stuff.

THE BAG is one of those in the middle when you might have thought about it but just didn’t know how to go about making it, let alone testing it to see if it really works. THE BAG came with lots of paperwork. I didn’t know if I was impressed or intimidated that a BAG had so much paper work attached to it … to me it looked like a long silverish bag with a Velcro closer on one end to seal it up.

Well to tell the truth I put them on my desk and they sat there for a while. Then one day I was recuperating from some surgery and need something to read and there was this paperwork on THE BAG. I started to read about THE BAG and I was really impressed that a family owned company took this idea of THE BAG all the way to the military. That’s a feat, considering the Government need stacks and stacks of paperwork just for a nail. And here they accepted a BAG that will do just about everything you would ever want a Protective BAG to do..

So as not to bore you to death. I took three of my most treasured rifles after reading the company’s instructions and cleaned my 1885 Double Barrel Shotgun that I had just finished restoring; my “Big Bertha” CZ 550 Safari Classics 375H&H Mag; and my wife’s “Motsomi” Browning A-bolt 300wsm. I used gloves to put them into the bags correctly as not to have any fingerprints on any medal parts and I put them into my stackable safe… not a big heavy safe. And left them alone for six months because of my surgery I spoke of.

Well I’m all healed up now and lots of ideas and things to do to get ready for our upcoming trip to Africa. And these are the three rifles that would be going.

To be safe, and to do it fairly I put gloves back on (I know, overkill) and took each weapon out of THE BAGS. Each and every one looked like the day I put them in THE BAG.

So what do I think of THE BAG without getting technical … they are going to Africa for Gifts for my PH friends that have everything… Think about it, an African PH lives with his rifle or rifles for six months. Everyday they are out working with these tools of the trade. But what do they do with them in the off season? Now they can clean them up like they always do, but when hunting season starts back up… there are his weapons, all shiny and as new as the day they put them away. I know they will love these THE BAGS. And I’ve been told that at the company they are working on BAGS that can be used for everyday hunting. Like a gun case. THAT I want to try… and if I can’t get my hands on them to try… I’ll buy them, just on the strength of these storage bags….

If you’re a person that loves to keep his or her rifles in Perfect condition for your next hunt, whether it is a month or a year away, this friend is your answer. Clean it up, put it in THE BAG. Close the Velcro and put it away.

If you want to read all the techno stuff about the Military Grade Corrosion Prevention BAG, visit their web sight, and if you don’t want to read it all … just buy some and do what I did.. clean ‘em and putt ‘em away and forget ‘em…
