GSM Outdoors Joins NWTF Convention and Sport Show as Longbeard Sponsor

EDGEFIELD, S.C. — The National Wild Turkey Federation welcomes GSM Outdoors as a Longbeard Sponsor for the Convention and Sport Show, set for Feb. 15-19 in Nashville, Tennessee. This year’s festivities mark 50 years of mission delivery for the NWTF.

“As passionate turkey hunters and conservationists ourselves, our relationship with NWTF is very important to us, and holds a very special place in our hearts,” said Tayler Riggen, GSM Midwest regional sales manager. “Being able to celebrate 50 years of wild turkey conservation, and the rich history of the National Wild Turkey Federation, is something we are really looking forward to.”

GSM Outdoors became a first-time sponsor in 2022, but many of the companies under its umbrella have sponsored or exhibited at convention in the past. As a part of its sponsorship, branding for GSM Outdoors heavyweights like Avian-X Decoys and Zink Calls will be present in portions of the Convention and Sport Show, and the brands will be represented at booths 1313 and 1321 in the exhibit hall.

“We are honored to have GSM and their family of brands as a sponsor for our show,” said Natalia Daniels, NWTF national director of corporate relations and licensing. “They are an industry leader who knows what wild turkey enthusiasts need for success in the spring turkey woods. Be sure to visit their booth in the exhibit hall.”

The first event of the NWTF Convention and Sport Show, officially sponsored by Mossy Oak, is the Pub Crawl set for the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 15. Convention festivities officially open on Thursday, Feb. 16 with the rendezvous sessions, the evening’s Kickoff Party and the opening of the Sport Show floor, which features more than 500 of the best exhibitors in the outdoor industry. The NWTF Sport Show runs from Thursday to Saturday in the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Convention festivities conclude with a worship service on Sunday, Feb. 19.

About the National Wild Turkey Federation

Since 1973, the National Wild Turkey Federation has invested over half a billion dollars into wildlife conservation and has conserved or enhanced over 22 million acres of critical wildlife habitat. The organization continues to drive wildlife conservation, forest resiliency and robust recreational opportunities throughout the U.S. by working across boundaries on a landscape scale.

2023 is the NWTF’s 50 th anniversary and an opportunity to propel the organization’s mission into the future while honoring its rich history. For its 50 th anniversary, the NWTF has set six ambitious goals: positively impact 1 million acres of wildlife habitat; raise $500,000 for wild turkey research; increase membership to 250,000 members; dedicate $1 million to education and outreach programs; raise $5 million to invest in technology and NWTF’s people; and raise $5 million to build toward a $50 million endowment for the future.  Learn how you can help us reach these lofty goals.
