Council and IHEA-USA Unleash PUP AI to Help R3 Professionals Fetch Answers Faster

Washington, D.C. – The Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports (Council), with support from the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA-USA), has released PUP AI, a new interactive chat tool designed to help users quickly explore information from the National R3 Clearinghouse.
Whether users are looking for research, trends, or information related to recruitment, retention, and reactivation efforts, PUP AI provides an easy, user-friendly way to engage with the R3 Clearinghouse content directly from the webpage.
The tool was developed to make years of Recruitment, Retention, Reactivation (R3) research, reports, and shared learning more accessible to agencies, organizations, industry partners, and professionals working to strengthen participation in hunting and the shooting sports. By allowing users to ask questions and receive responses informed by Clearinghouse resources, PUP AI helps reduce the time it takes to find relevant information and apply it to real-world R3 work.
“We are excited to deliver this new AI EduTech product from IHEA-USA with the Council,” said Alex Baer, IHEA-USA Executive Director. “This collaboration to simplify the accessibility of years of R3 research and discovery represents a major milestone in modernization and exemplifies both of our organizations’ strong commitment to our respective national communities.”
Chuck Sykes, Council Executive Director, said PUP AI reflects the Council’s continued focus on practical tools that help professionals turn information into action.
“The National R3 Clearinghouse was built to give the R3 community access to research, resources, and shared knowledge that can strengthen R3 efforts across the country,” Sykes said. “PUP AI makes that information easier to explore and use. We appreciate IHEA-USA’s support in helping us bring this tool to the field and make Clearinghouse content more accessible to the people doing this important work every day.”
The release of PUP AI marks another step in the Council’s effort to modernize how R3 information is shared and used. As participation trends continue to shift, tools that help professionals quickly identify research, understand trends, and apply proven strategies are increasingly important to the future of hunting and the shooting sports.
PUP AI is available now on the Council website at https://cahss.org/pup-ai.
