MarineMax’s Harbour Island Escape: Where Yachting Meets Giving Back

OLDSMAR, FL (August 13, 2026)— MarineMax proudly celebrated the success of the 2026 MarineMax Getaways! ®, Harbour Island Escape, an elevated owner experience that brought together luxury yachting, meaningful connection, and purposeful community impact in the breathtaking Bahamas.

Hosted in Harbour Island, the exclusive Getaways! welcomed MarineMax yacht owners for a curated experience featuring waterfront hospitality, world-class dining, unforgettable entertainment, and the natural beauty of the island’s world -renowned Pink Sands Beach. Guests spent the trip island-hopping between celebrations, taking in sunset gatherings and beachfront events that have become a signature of the MarineMax Getaways! program.

The event also carried forward a tradition close to MarineMax’s history with Harbour Island. In 2023, MarineMax team members James Corts and Suzanne Hatcher were so moved by the warmth and hospitality they received from the Harbour Island community during one of the company’s Getaways! that they set out to give something back. They engaged their own children in the effort, and with the help of Joe Dargavage and Lorria Whitfield, organized a “mini-school supply drive” for the island’s children. What began as that grassroots effort has since grown into Harbour Island Outreach, MarineMax’s ongoing partnership supporting the island’s schools and families.

This year, that partnership was woven directly into the Harbour Island Escape. MarineMax customers made generous contributions supporting local families and community initiatives throughout the island, reinforcing a belief that’s become central to the Getaways! program: exceptional experiences are even more meaningful when they positively impact the communities that welcome us.

“MarineMax has always believed boating is about more than time on the water, it is about connection, community, and creating unforgettable moments together,” said Karla Millan, National Events and Partnership Manager. “Our Harbour Island Escape reflected that beautifully.”

From sunset celebrations and beachfront gatherings to heartfelt community support, the 2026 Harbour Island Escape left guests with unforgettable memories and left Harbour Island stronger because of it.

Building on this year’s success, MarineMax is already looking ahead to 2027, when the Getaways!, Harbour Island Escape will return to the island for another season of connection, celebration, and community impact.
