Al’s Goldfish Lure Company Continues Support of Outdoor NewsJunior Pro Team (JPT)

For the past three years Al’s Goldfish Lure Company has been a proud supporter of Outdoor News Junior Pro Team. Each week in the month of May young anglers who are a part of the Outdoor News JPT have an opportunity to win a spectacular prize pack containing more than $200 of tacklebox fishing gear and swag from Al’s. To enter in the contest eligible contestants need to enter a fishing video or photo through the Outdoor News outlets. For more information visit https://jrproteam.com/contest/weekly/.

The Outdoor News JPT program is open to youth ages 18 and under who enjoy the great outdoors and have a robust social media platform and website to celebrate their hunting and fishing experiences. Membership is free and JPT members enjoy access to pro tips to help build their expertise, the sharing of photos and videos, and opportunities to receive special industry discounts and participate in contests throughout the year.

“It is important to us at Al’s to support and nurture the next generation of anglers,” said company co-owner Mandy DeBuigne. “We hope that our support in this program will help these youth enjoy the sport of fishing for many years to come.”

Al’s Goldfish Lure Company has been around since 1952 but has expanded globally under the ownership of Jeff and Amanda DeBuigne, who purchased the company in 2018. With 100 percent American-made products, the selection of lures available from the company cover anglers for panfish, trout, salmon, bass, walleye, pike or muskie, with baits to use while casting, trolling or jigging. Al’s lures are made of solid marine brass, are plated by jewelry-plater, and are hand-painted.

About Al’s Goldfish Lure Company
The company was launched in 1952 with a single pioneering spoon lure, known as Stuart’s Goldfish, named after founder Al Stuart. The company’s flagship lure was renamed Al’s Goldfish in 1954, and by 1973 the popularity of the Goldfish lure soared to nearly one million lures sold in a year. Along the way, other popular lures, such as the Forty-Niner and Helgy, and hook bonnet lure accessories were added to the company’s list of American-made products. In 2015 the line was expanded to include the Saltwater Goldfish series. In 2022, present owners Jeff and Mandy DeBuigne celebrated the 70-year anniversary of the Goldfish lure.
