Award Winning Tree Tent Brand Launches Generation 3

Discover the new and enhanced product line for Spring / Summer 2020
LONDON (May 2020) – Tentsile, the leaders of elevated and portable Tree Tents and Giant Hammocks, launch the next generation of Tree Tents for Spring/Summer 2020. The new Gen 3 line provides a refresh and upgrade to its entire product range, and debuts a raft of new design features and improvements for 2020, all the while adhering to its core principle of protecting the world’s forests.
“We are always looking to push the boundaries of where and how our products can be used, enhancing usability and refining the designs to constantly improve them,” said Alex Shirley-Smith, Founder and Chief Product Development Officer of Tentsile. “The features and updates found in Generation 3 create an even better user experience, more comfortable habitable spaces to sleep in and new features to make life even easier when you’re camping.”
The key highlights from Tentsile’s Gen 3 line for 2020 are the introduction of the Safari Vista Tree Tent and the Safari Trillium Hammocks, the enlargement of the hatch entry ways, under floor storage nets introduced for all models and the Ground Conversion Kits for each Tree Tent which allows them to convert into ground camping tents.
The Safari Vista Tree Tent
The Safari Vista Tree Tent debuts a revolutionary transformation from the original Vista design, now making this model Tentsile’s biggest Tree Tent. The larger (8000HH) rainfly, stronger poles and double-stitched, heavy-duty, ripstop 450D Dacron floor offers increased protection from the elements and additional living space in all four seasons.
With its fully removable roof and insect mesh, the Safari Vista is the perfect Giant hammock hangout for larger goups, and this model’s unique domed design offers unbeatable headroom when it converts back to a Tree Tent able to sleep three adults or a small family. The 100% waterproof and UV-resistant rainfly is one of the toughest on the market and tear resistant no-see-um insect mesh can all be removed from underneath it to provide an open shelter offering an open 360-degree view! This unit is also ideal for the backyard or the park.
- Set Up Size: 13.5 x 13.5 x 13.5’ // 4.1 x 4.1 x 4.1m
- Weight: 39.7 lbs // 18kg
- Floor Area: 78 sqf // 7.5m2
- Max Load: 880 lbs //400kg
- MSRP: $999 // €999 // £999
The Safari Trillium and Safari Trillium XL Hammocks
The largest and most robust hammocks on the market, the Safari Trillium Hammock was designed with the same space and storage capacity as Tentsile’s award-winning Trillium hammock, but made from the toughest and most durable double-stitched ripstop 450D Dacron floor fabric and UV-resistant material. These models, made to hold 3 or 6 people, can be left up for months at a time and with care, can last up to five years in the harshest conditions! Tentsile is so confident in the durability of the Safari range that these products come with a 5 year warranty. Perfect for more permanent camps or backyard set-ups, this hammock is made to withstand extreme climates and a high volume of occupant turnover and use.

The Ground Conversion Kits
No trees? No problem. Perhaps the most revolutionary update to the 2020 Tentsile range is that Tentsile’s Generation 3 Tree Tents are optimized to be used with the all-new Ground Conversion Kits. Now, you can camp with more freedom than ever before and the best thing is that these kits can be retro – fitted to all previous Tentsile Tree Tents too!
The Kits include: Heavy duty black Polyethylene footprint that conforms perfectly to the footprint of each Tree Tent, 6 extendable aluminium poles to create large porch areas at the entryways, low-impact screw-in pegs and reflective guy lines.
“We’re confident that customers will love the new features of Generation 3. The increased interconnectivity of these modular systems means you can use your creativity to have fun combining tents, hammocks and accessories to make camps to suit your specific needs – creating multilevel set-ups for any number of people and unlike anything else on the market,” continued Shirley-Smith.
Zero footprint, felt tree protector wraps also come as standard with every Generation 3 Tree Tent and Hammock so you can elevate your adventure without the potential to damage bark on more delicate tree species. In addition, all Tentsile rainflies have been upgraded from 3000HH to 5000HH (and the Safari models to 8000HH); zippable, internal storage pockets have been added to keep gear secure; new detachable, underfloor storage nets for increased interior living space and comfort, mesh poles sleeves for increased cross ventilation and bigger entryways for better access.
All the top, key features customers have come to expect from a Tentsile Tree Tent will still be a part of Gen 3 such as fully insect- proof, patented anti-roll-under floor strap system, multiple entry points and porches and of course, stackability!
The full Gen 3 range launched online in January 2020.
