St. Croix Rod is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2023. We’re proud of our 75 years in business and the control we command over our rod-manufacturing process – handcrafting the Best Rods on Earth® right here in North America. We’re proud that we’ve been owned by the same family for the last 46 of those years. Most of all, though, we’re grateful to you – our anglers – for the trust and confidence you’ve placed in us to add value to your precious time and experiences on the water.
St. Croix co-owner Dave Schluter says he remembers how proud his father Gordon was 25 years ago when St. Croix celebrated its 50th anniversary.
“Gordon was very passionate about St. Croix. It’s the people; the heart and soul that our people give to this company that has been located in the same small town since 1954. I remember our 50th anniversary, and that was hard to believe. But that was 25 years ago. It seems like it just happened. I think my proudest moment was at our 50th anniversary and watching my father up at the podium. Just seeing that satisfaction in his eyes; that brought me the most pride. Gordon is looking down with a smile on his face, and I know he’s extremely satisfied. He presented an opportunity that others could take advantage of. I think he’d be extremely happy with the results. To our anglers and St. Croix team members, I say thank you for 75 years of support and for being a part of our St. Croix family. That support has been and continues to be very much appreciated.”
