Chef Sara Bradley of Paducah, Featured Seminar Speaker at Open Season Sportsman’s Expo

PADUCAH, Ky. (January 13, 2021) — Chef Sara Bradley, a native of Paducah, will be part of the Seminar Series during the Kentucky Open Season Sportsman’s Expo this weekend at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention & Expo Center, Friday, January 15 through Sunday, January 17.

Bradley, who is the owner of Freight House in Paducah, has christened her cuisine “traditional Southern with a modern twist,” as she takes an innovative, but grounded culinary approach to dishes, which has earned her a loyal and enthusiastic clientele. Bradley is proud of the Bluegrass State and every meal she serves has the goal of providing the most unique dining experience in western Kentucky.

“It is so exciting to have the Open Season Sportsman’s Expo in Paducah this year,” said Bradley. “Ticket holders get the chance to meet and chat with some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry. Plus, in a time when hospitality and tourism industries are taking big hits, we are so thankful to the Expo for supporting our city. They are giving everyone a chance to help tons of small businesses that are presenting and have set up booths over the next few days.”

Chef Bradley’s mission is to provide fresh, local and in-season ingredients by partnering with farmers throughout the region, most within a day’s drive. She was invited to compete on Season 16 of the hit TV series “Top Chef” and was runner-up after battling other talented chefs from across the country. Bradley took advantage of each episode to showcase Kentucky ingredients, her southern culinary heritage and her wit.

Bradley will host one cooking demonstration on Friday, January 15, two demos on Saturday, January 16 and one demo on Sunday, January 17. For a full Paducah seminar schedule, CLICK HERE.

“The focus of my seminars is to show how to cook wild game and fish,” shared Bradley. “I will be touching on everything from wild moose to wild caught Asian carp. I will talk about seasoning wild game and the importance of how it is processed. I was lucky enough to have pronghorn antelope years back and I have been hooked ever since.”
