HX Platform Design

The new Gorilla HX series features a hexagon inspired platform that provides hunters with more room around the entire platform surface. The HX design profile eliminates unnecessary edges and corners that can get caught on branches and limbs when being carried in the woods – enhancing the portability while maintaining a sense of stealth from one location to the next.

“D Tube”Material Construction

The sturdy all-welded steel construction of the 2009 line utilizes a new “D-tube” construction that creates a greater strength to weight ratio than a standard square tube. More importantly, the arc shaped “D-tube” frame structure is approximately 20-percent lighter than previous stands.

XPE Foam Seats

The new HX stands also feature a new seat design and construction for superior comfort and durability. The new XPE Tech System from Gorilla utilizes a material commonly known as Cross-linked Polyethylene (XPE). This material is a special class of closed cell foam mostly comprised of LDPE and EVA. These closed cell structured foams have a higher dimensional stability, low moisture absorption coefficient and improved strength. In a nut shell – all day comfort like never before felt.

XT-6 Nylon Bushings

In addition, the stands incorporate Gorilla’s proprietary XT-6 Nylon bushings and washers – designed to dramatically reduce noise. These tough yet flexible thermoplastic polymer washers are reinforced for high elongation and excellent abrasion resistance. In simple terms these little washers make a big difference in the performance of the stand. They are tough, flexible and quiet.

Finishing Touches

All of the HX stands are then finished off with Gorilla’s amazingly durable and slip resistant Black TraxionTM coating and Mossy Oak® Treestand® camouflage in order to create equipment that is functional, reliable, and incredibly effective hunt after hunt.
